NATA 2017 – B.Arch Admission in India

NATA 2017 – National Aptitude Test for Architecture is conducted by the counsel of Architecture. It is a single window system to facilitate the admission Five year Architecture degree in India.

It is made mandatory to qualify in aptitude test in architecture for admissions to B.Arch.


Eligibility criteria to appear for the NATA examination clarifies the basic necessities to appear in it. The counsel of Architecture frames such Eligibility conditions.

  • There is no Lower age limit for applying NATA Examination.
  • 10 + 2 or Equivalent passed with mathematics as one of its core subjects.

How ever a candidate has to comply with the age criteria specified by the admitting institution/Authority.

The schedule of the Examination begins from the Public announcement and it lasts till the Declaration of the Results.

The public notice of the NATA Exam 2017 was on December 15, 2016 and the publication of results will be on June 10, 2017. There are a serious of events scheduled in between, To view the entire schedule visit NATA Important Dates 2017.


The Syllabus of NATA Comprises of Core subject Mathematics and General Aptitude. It also tests the Drawing ability of the candidates appearing in it.

Question Pattern

NATA comprises of 3 Major parts in it. It includes the Mathematics as its core, General Aptitude and the Drawing ability. The weight varies for each portion.

  • Mathematics 20 Question Carrying 2 marks each results 40 Marks
  • General Aptitude 40 Question Carrying 2 marks each results 80 Marks.
  • Drawing 2 Questions carrying 40 Marks each and therefore its 80 marks

Totally 200 marks for the examination, The first two parts are OMR questions MCQ.
